MCRP, once know as the Association of Wisconsin Cleaning Contractors (AWCC), is one of the founding organizations of the IICRC and played an integral role in the history of the floor care industry in the USA. It began in 1925 as The Milwaukee Rug Cleaners Association and helped form the Association of Wisconsin Carpet Cleaners in the early 1960s. Before it became the MCRP, the AWCC at its peak boasted of over 300 hundred members. Members of the AWCC made an immeasurable contribution to cleaning technology and the establishment of cleaning and restoration as respected professions.  Leaders in the MCRA went on to be leaders in the IICRC and the cleaning and restoration industry.
